Your privacy matters
Last updated: October 2026. This is a working draft that accurately describes this site's real features. Business-specific details marked below need owner review.
1Who we are
The Gospel Shed Network (“we,” “our”) is a Christian media ministry led by Pastors Quincy Shed and Dawn Shed. This website shares ministry videos hosted on Facebook, devotionals, and private prayer and contact forms.
2What we collect — and why
- Prayer requests: your name (optional), email (optional, required only if you ask for a reply), and your request text. Used solely so our pastoral team can pray for you and, if requested, respond.
- Contact messages: name, email, topic, and message. Used to answer your inquiry.
- Launch-update subscriptions: email and optional name. Used to send a single launch announcement for our dedicated broadcast (plus essential service messages).
- Technical records: a salted hash of your IP address and submission time, kept for spam prevention and rate limiting. Raw IP addresses are not stored.
3What we never do
- Prayer requests are never published, never shown in a public feed, and never shared publicly.
- We do not sell personal information or display third-party advertising.
- We do not invent contact details — any email, phone, or address shown on this site is verified by the ministry.
4Facebook embeds
Video playback uses Facebook's official embedded player (
facebook.com/plugins/video.php). When you tap play, Facebook may set cookies and collect data (such as your IP address, device information, and viewing interaction) under Meta's privacy policy. We use a click-to-load preview so no Facebook script runs until you choose to play a video. Visiting our Facebook Page directly is governed by Meta's policies.5Email delivery
Form submissions are stored securely in our database. If ministry email delivery is configured (SMTP settings), notifications may be emailed to the pastoral team. If delivery is not configured, submissions remain stored securely and no email is sent — the site never falsely claims a message was emailed.
6Data retention & security
Submissions are kept only as long as needed for pastoral care and ministry correspondence, then deleted on request. Records live in a private database with no public access. No system is perfectly secure, but we apply reasonable safeguards: server-side validation, spam filtering, rate limiting, and hashed technical identifiers.
[Owner review needed] Owner to confirm: desired retention period (e.g. 12 months), backup schedule, and who may access pastoral records. This draft does not guarantee compliance with any specific law (such as GDPR or CCPA) — seek legal review before collecting data at scale.
7Your rights
To access, correct, or delete your prayer request, message, or subscription, contact us via the Contact page. Subscription emails always include a way to unsubscribe.
[Owner review needed] Owner to add: the verified ministry contact email for privacy requests once available.
8Children
This site is intended for a general audience and not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect children's information.
9Changes
If our practices change (for example, when analytics or donations are added), this policy will be updated and the date revised. No analytics are currently enabled beyond essential server logs.
